Ants can also cause major damage by chewing your insulation, electrical wires, and more! If you see ants in your home or business, don’t delay. Give Mosquito Elite Pest Control a call.

Why is professional treatment important?
Have you ever tried to spray for ants yourself? Did it get rid of the ants, or did they keep coming back? Over-the-counter products don’t follow the life cycle, so they are not as effective. Home remedies or store-bought products can also cause staining or damage to your grout and flooring. That’s why you should call Mosquito Elite Pest Control!
What does Ant Control Include?
It starts with a call to Mosquito Elite Pest Control. We provide targeted ant control treatment based on the type of ant and type of infestation. We can treat for any species of ant. You may only need one treatment, or you may need regular treatment. It’s based on your area and/or the conditions of your property. As part of our expanded coverage, we have treatments for Carpenter Ants, Pharoah Ants, and Fire Ants.
Step #1
Ant Control Inspection
We always inspect first, and we will speak with you to find out your exact ant problem. That way, we can identify the type of ant and treatment needed. We will look for infestations, entry points, and ant colonies. Our ant experts know where they live, both inside and outside of your home or business.
Step #2
We identify the type of Ant
In Virginia, there are around 79 species of ants, and we can treat them all. All ants are capable of producing swarmers, so many people think they have termites. However, we know the difference between termites and flying ants. That’s extremely important because they are very different pests and treatments. Here are the most common ants found in southeastern Virginia.
- Pharoah Ants
- Carpenter Ants (Black ants)
- Fire Ants
Step #3
Ant Control Treatment
The inspection and the level of infestation found will determine the best treatment for ants. We provide several treatment options, and we recommend baiting to knock out a colony behind wall voids. The ants will bring the bait back to the nest and share with their colony mates. Mosquito Elite Pest Control’s ant treatments can include baiting, mound treatments, liquid insecticides, or insecticide dust or Borates injected into wall voids. For entry point exclusions, sometimes it’s necessary to use silicone or caulk in certain areas to fill in gaps around countertops or sinks.
Step #4
Our Guarantee
We stand behind our work, so if you choose a one-time treatment, we offer a retreatment warranty of 30 days. For our customers on an ant control service plan, we will retreat for ants in between paid services, if needed. Each treatment takes around 14 days to be effective.
